The Technical Support and Training role focuses on geospatial and surveying solutions for CSDS in Southern California, combining advanced technical assistance with hands-on education to help customers adopt our offerings. The position is based in Anaheim, CA, with remote work options.
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced technical support to customers via phone, email, and in-person visits
- Lead customer training sessions and workshops on product usage, best practices, and troubleshooting
- Create and maintain training materials such as user guides, manuals, and instructional content
- Collaborate with engineering, support, and professional services teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Act as a technical resource for internal teams by sharing product knowledge, workflows, and best practices
- Collect customer feedback to identify recurring issues and propose process or product improvements
- Stay up to date with new features, solutions, and industry best practices
- Support pre-sales activities through technical consultations, demonstrations, and solution validation
- Assist onboarding and adoption by aligning technical solutions with customer goals
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, training activities, and customer interactions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical support, training, surveying, or technical education roles
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to independently plan and deliver effective training and documentation
- Comfortable collaborating with customers, Account Managers, and internal stakeholders at varying technical levels
- Valid California driver’s license

- Experience with UAV / drone data collection
- Experience with photogrammetry workflows
- Experience handling point cloud and laser scanning data
- Familiarity with Wingtra, Trimble, and DJI product lines (preferred)
