Asurion Insurance Services is hiring for a part-time local, in-home field role that combines tech support with sales. Based in Bloomington, IL, this position is onsite and involves daily travel to meet customers at their residences, with appointments scheduled in advance. You’ll help customers resolve technology issues and match them with product solutions using Serve, Solve, Sell™ during set evening hours.
What you’ll do
- Complete paid training designed to prepare you to work independently in the field.
- Meet customers in-home, in-office, or wherever they are, with interactions pre-scheduled by Asurion.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and keep the customer’s needs as the priority throughout every interaction.
- Use your skills to identify and resolve tech issues, providing solutions that are understandable regardless of the customer’s technical background.
- Help ensure customers leave with a resolution that works and a product that supports their future tech needs.
- Leverage Asurion’s expanding product portfolio to offer tailored solutions.
- Listen actively to identify needs and position products uniquely to match those needs.
- Use strong negotiation and communications skills, make a smooth pivot, and stay highly motivated to get it right and complete the appropriate sale.
Schedule
- Part-time role with a 5-day week setup.
- 5 evenings/week: 4:05pm to 9:00pm
Requirements
- Comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and at least 1 year of driving experience
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluded: Manhattan)
- A personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Appointments are in neighborhoods and cities surrounding your inventory warehouse. Maximum expected travel distance is 120 miles, one-way.
- Ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on customer and business needs
- A personal cellphone to stay informed while on the job
- Comfortable working around household pets
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills
- Open-minded with a passion for learning a wide range of skills
- Naturally outgoing and comfortable with human interaction
- Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand, even with a standard schedule provided
Compensation and benefits
- Hourly pay: USD 23 to 23 per hour
- Guaranteed base hourly rate for all hours worked, with pay paid bi-weekly (earned pay can be accessed early)
- Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly
- Mileage reimbursement based on IRS guidelines, paid weekly
- $35 phone stipend paid monthly
- 3 weeks of paid training
