Job Description

The Help Desk Technician at Syntagma Group serves as the primary point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance in an onsite East Windsor, NJ environment. This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, while maintaining accurate incident documentation through IT service management tools.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to end-users through phone, email, or remote access tools, resolving hardware, software, and network concerns efficiently.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, such as system crashes, software errors, and configuration problems.
Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and Active Directory management tools to support security compliance.
Support desktop hardware maintenance, including installation, upgrades, repairs, and inventory management.
Assist with computer networking troubleshooting related to LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and general connectivity issues.
Use IT service management platforms such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira to document incidents, track resolutions, and escalate complex issues.
Perform system administration tasks for Windows Server environments and support ongoing IT infrastructure operations.
Handle hardware support activities, including peripheral device troubleshooting and hardware replacement procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and help maintain network security.
Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users while delivering a high level of customer service.
