Job Description

The Help Desk Analyst position at WEIMER BEARING & TRANSMISSION, INC is an entry-level role focused on delivering timely technical assistance to employees. Serving as a first point of contact, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network concerns while partnering with an experienced IT team to support onsite operations in Germantown, WI.

Onsite Role Details

This role is based in Germantown, WI and provides onsite technical support as needed, including assistance with installations.

Key Responsibilities

Handle initial telephone and email requests, troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and network issues
Assess and resolve a variety of hardware and software problems by identifying the root cause and applying effective solutions
Support testing, installation, and setup of computer systems and software
Track and document IT issues, trends, and recurring problems
Work with other IT team members to resolve more complex technical issues
Provide onsite assistance and support installations when required

Required Qualifications

0–3 years of relevant IT experience
An Associate’s degree or completion of relevant coursework at a technical school
Basic knowledge of operating systems, networks, programming languages, firewalls, and routers
Familiarity with common technical issues involving Microsoft Office and other software
Strong communication and listening skills when assisting users by phone or email
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when documenting issues and requests
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills

Tools and Technologies

The role involves working with Microsoft Office, along with operating systems, networks, firewalls, and routers.

Education

Applicants should have an Associate’s degree or completed relevant coursework at a technical school.
