Job Description

PowerGrid Services, LLC is hiring a Deskside Support IT Service Tech to provide dependable, user-focused technology help at its Hartselle, AL office. This part-time, in-person role supports end users with both troubleshooting and onboarding, while keeping documentation up to date for internal teams and customers.

Working Monday through Friday, the position supports everyday desktop and mobile workflows using Microsoft tools and device management approaches. If you enjoy solving problems with a calm, empathetic approach and like improving how teams work through documentation and automation, this role may fit well.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain business relationships with end users
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues for end users
Support user onboarding and handle equipment provisioning
Maintain documentation, including inventory records, “How-To” guides, FAQs, and documented processes

Requirements

Strong people skills, with an approachable, good-listener, empathetic communication style
Curiosity to learn, experiment, automate, and teach
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and iOS devices
Experience with Microsoft Office

Schedule, Location, and Employment Type

Job type: part-time (also listed: internship)
Location: Hartselle, AL (onsite), in person
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm
Start time preference: 7:30am start if possible
Commute/relocation: reliable transportation to and from the Hartselle office (required)

Education and Pay

Education: high school or equivalent
Pay: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
Rate note: hourly rate to be determined based on experience and skill
