Job Description

Asurion Insurance Services is hiring a part-time In-Home Sales & Tech Support role in Port Allen, LA. This local position combines customer service, tech issue resolution, and product-based recommendations, with daily travel to customer residences for scheduled appointments (not remote).

You will meet customers during Asurion’s pre-scheduled interactions, then work through a Serve, Solve, Sell approach by addressing tech needs, explaining solutions clearly, and matching customers with products that support their future requirements.

Role overview

Job type: part time
Pay: USD 20 per hourly
Work setup: daily travel to customer residences (not remote)

What you’ll do

Meet customers in-home, in-office, or wherever they are, using pre-scheduled customer interactions to focus on meeting and surpassing sales targets
Deliver exceptional customer service throughout each interaction, prioritizing the customer first
Use your expertise to address and resolve customers’ tech issues and provide understandable solutions regardless of their tech knowledge
Help ensure customers leave with both a resolution that works and a product that supports their future tech needs
Use Asurion’s growing range of products to recommend tailored solutions
Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products to match those needs
Apply strong negotiation and communication skills, make smooth pivots, and stay motivated to get it right and complete the appropriate sale

Schedule

Part-time schedule: 5 evenings/week
Hours: 4:05pm to 9:00pm
Work days may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a varied 5-day week schedule based on customer timelines
Hours may vary based on business needs and market demand; flexibility may be required

Requirements

Comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year driving experience
Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluded: Manhattan)
Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Customer service appointments are in neighborhoods and cities surrounding your inventory warehouse; maximum expected travel distance is 120 miles, one-way
Personal cellphone to stay informed while on the job
Must be comfortable working around household pets
Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented communication skills with the ability to persuade
Open-minded approach and passion for learning a wide range of skills across career paths
Naturally outgoing and comfortable with human interaction

Guaranteed base hourly pay for all hours worked, paid bi-weekly; earned pay can be accessed early
