Trafera LLC is hiring an IT Help Desk Specialist II in Arden Hills, MN (onsite). In this role, you will help internal employees stay productive by delivering reliable, customer-focused technical support. You will also partner with IT to strengthen operational reliability, security, and continuous improvement across end-user systems and platforms.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the execution of Trafera’s IT strategy and operational objectives
- Respond promptly to technical support requests and service tickets, owning assigned tickets end to end against response and resolution targets while keeping requesters informed
- Perform weekly system checks to ensure automated operations are functioning reliably
- Assist with maintaining technical support inventory in the asset management system
- Partner with the System Administrator on internal IT infrastructure setup and maintenance
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support resources to improve consistency and support quality
- Support accuracy, integrity, and system reliability across technical platforms
- Help setup and configure hardware for employees and IT services
- Execute employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning and deprovisioning plus device build and return
- Remediate endpoint patch and update compliance findings
- Mentor and cross-train peers by sharing resolution knowledge across the team
- Maintain a positive, solutions-focused mentality while working with internal customers in-person and remotely
Tools you’ll work with
- ITSM platform (Freshservice preferred)
- Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune
- Microsoft Windows 11
- Linux servers and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are helpful but not required
What we need from you
- High school diploma or equivalent certification such as GED or HiSET
- 3 years of progressive experience in technical support, computer or electronic device repair, or related technical support services
- Certification of A+ and/or Network+ preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deliver professional, responsive, customer-focused support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication, able to present information clearly, professionally, and persuasively to internal stakeholders
- Creative, results-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate, identify issues, and make proactive recommendations
- Self-directed, punctual work style, able to succeed in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and/or tasks, prioritize to meet deadlines, and deliver results

Schedule and role details
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Full-time, nonexempt (hourly), with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Overtime (more than 40 hours) may be approved or required if requested by a manager
- Work is performed in an office/warehouse environment with interaction across the facility, plus remote work using connected devices, video conferencing, phone calls, and chat/text messaging
Compensation: USD $25 to $28 per hour.
