PASSKEY TECHNOLOGY is hiring an IT Support Specialist to deliver hands-on client support and participate in infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and cybersecurity projects. This hybrid role primarily supports Twin Cities clients from the office, with work-from-home flexibility after onboarding and occasional onsite visits and on-call responsibilities.
Role Overview
In this position, you will troubleshoot escalated client issues, configure and manage Microsoft security and identity controls, and support networking and server environments. You will also contribute to migrations from traditional Active Directory and on-prem server setups toward Entra ID and Microsoft cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot escalated client issues across Microsoft 365, Windows, networks, servers, and security
- Configure and manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, Intune, MDM/MAM, and Microsoft security controls
- Support migrations from Active Directory and traditional servers to Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Work with Microsoft Defender and endpoint and identity security tools
- Assist with DLP, information protection, and cloud application discovery
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and virtualization
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Participate in Microsoft 365, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud projects
- Work directly with clients to understand needs, explain options, and recommend solutions
- Assist with support tickets when needed, with team-wide support coverage for clients
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on IT support, systems administration, or engineering experience
- Associate degree preferred; a 2- or 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields preferred, and relevant technical or trade school education is equally valued
- MSP experience strongly preferred
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Intune
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Solid networking and firewall experience
- Familiarity with virtualization such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices including EDR/MDR and MFA
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with clients and making technical recommendations
- Able to work independently in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities
- Preferred familiarity with RMM/PSA tools and platforms including Datto RMM, Autotask, IT Glue, Auvik, Huntress, SentinelOne, Petra, Avanan, SaaS Alerts, and similar systems
- Experience with AI tools, governance, automation, or simple agents/workflows is a plus

Work Arrangement
This role is in person in Golden Valley, MN, with work-from-home flexibility after onboarding. During onboarding and while learning client environments, systems, and internal processes, new employees should expect more time in the office. The ongoing expectation is a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Position includes occasional client site visits throughout the Twin Cities and some on-call responsibilities.
Compensation
USD 70,000 - 85,000 per year.
