Job Description

Haynie & Company is seeking an entry‑level Help Desk Technician I to be the first point of contact for employees and Managed Services clients in Brownsville, TX. This role focuses on resolving routine IT issues per defined procedures, logging solutions for future reference, and escalating more complex problems to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Address high-volume, basic IT issues for internal staff and Managed Services clients promptly and accurately
Maintain thorough documentation of support requests, resolutions, and ticket activity to ensure reliable records and visibility across the IT team
Support the Help Desk team in sustaining day-to-day operations
Consistently follow IT support procedures and compliance standards
Escalate complex issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution without disruption

Requirements

Knowledge of basic computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications
Ability to follow predefined procedures for IT support and resolution
Clear and professional communication with both technical and non-technical users
Previous experience in a help desk or IT support environment is preferred
Familiarity with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems is preferred
