Job Description

TRS Consulting IT Services, Inc. offers a full-time, on-site IT Support Technician role based in Burlingame, California. The position focuses on hands-on help desk support for clients, hardware installation, and setup of workstations, laptops, servers, and network equipment, with travel across the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and deploy new workstations, laptops, servers, and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) at client sites
Provide advanced technical support to customers facing complex issues
Maintain thorough documentation, records, and tickets within ticketing and document management systems
Set up and configure end-user network access and troubleshoot end-user problems
Travel onsite to address desktop and server support needs and perform hardware installations
Contribute to internal and client-facing projects as needed
Meet service level agreements through responsive, professional, and timely support
Pursue training and certification goals aligned with company development standards

Requirements

Minimum of two years in a business IT environment
Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration and Google Workspace
Experience with Windows OS, macOS, Chrome OS; familiarity with iOS and Android OS is a plus
Strong multitasking capabilities
Professional troubleshooting experience
Experience with remote support
Prior MSP or multi-tenant system experience is advantageous but not required
Commitment to continuous learning and advancing technical skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to own problems and drive them to resolution
Strong listening and communication abilities
Clear oral and written communication, with emphasis on technical communication in a business setting
Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems
Experience with desktop operating systems and applications in a Windows environment
Knowledge of LAN/WAN network technologies, including router and firewall setup
Familiarity with service level agreements
PowerShell or other Windows-based scripting knowledge is a significant plus
