Cape Inc Community Association for Pre-School Educ (CAPE) in Livermore, CA is seeking a temporary part-time IT Helpdesk Technician to support staff across CAPE locations with on-site and remote assistance. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to users by researching questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstations, operating systems, and LAN performance across all sites.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve application issues.
- Monitor system performance, pinpoint problems, and propose changes to improve reliability.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues to sustain productivity and minimize downtime, ensuring stable internet and Wi-Fi across locations.
- Set up systems, hardware, software, updates, networks, printers, scanners, and related peripherals.
- Prepare new hires' desktop computers or laptops, create email accounts, and configure LAN access to printers, scanners, and servers.
- Manage email accounts and directories, adding new hires and deactivating or redirecting terminated employeesโ accounts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three or more years of IT and/or systems administration experience.
- High school diploma or GED; certification and/or some college preferred.
- Clean driving record (DMV print-out required).
- Strong system administration and computer skills; familiarity with MS Word and Windows.
- Problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Project management capability.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with operating systems and telephone support.
- Excellent customer service and follow-through.
- Commitment to confidentiality and quality.
- PC proficiency.
- Bilingual skills are desirable.
