What we offer

Impact Solutions LLC is seeking a Mechanical Applications Engineer (Inside Technical Support) to provide 100% onsite consultative technical support for custom industrial systems in the Greater Milwaukee area. This onsite role in Richfield, WI offers a base salary of $65,000–$80,000 per year and a full benefits package.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical authority for custom industrial systems, bridging client needs with engineering design.
Handle a steady volume of incoming technical consultations via phone and email to thoroughly assess client application requirements.
Apply fundamental mechanical principles to analyze client data, troubleshoot process challenges, and deliver optimized equipment proposals.
Utilize advanced, automated software platforms to generate, refine, and deliver precise technical quotes quickly.
Collaborate with internal sales and engineering teams to resolve complex manufacturing bottlenecks and propose alternative system designs.
Maintain detailed project files and configuration records to ensure smooth handoffs to production.

Requirements

BSME or related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on industrial experience.
2+ years of experience handling mechanical designs, industrial applications, or technical support within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Excellent communication skills with a consultative problem-solving approach and comfort managing a steady stream of technical client calls daily.
A stable work history that demonstrates reliability and long-term dedication to past employers.
Exposure to heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or industrial process equipment is valued but not required.
Proximity to the facility with a requirement to reside within a dependable driving radius of the Greater Milwaukee / Washington County area.
