Impact Solutions LLC is seeking a Mechanical Applications Engineer (Inside Technical Support) to provide 100% onsite consultative technical support for custom industrial systems in the Greater Milwaukee area. This onsite role in Richfield, WI offers a base salary of $65,000–$80,000 per year and a full benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for custom industrial systems, bridging client needs with engineering design.
• Handle a steady volume of incoming technical consultations via phone and email to thoroughly assess client application requirements.
• Apply fundamental mechanical principles to analyze client data, troubleshoot process challenges, and deliver optimized equipment proposals.
• Utilize advanced, automated software platforms to generate, refine, and deliver precise technical quotes quickly.
• Collaborate with internal sales and engineering teams to resolve complex manufacturing bottlenecks and propose alternative system designs.
• Maintain detailed project files and configuration records to ensure smooth handoffs to production.

Requirements

• BSME or related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on industrial experience.
• 2+ years of experience handling mechanical designs, industrial applications, or technical support within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication skills with a consultative problem-solving approach and comfort managing a steady stream of technical client calls daily.
• A stable work history that demonstrates reliability and long-term dedication to past employers.
• Exposure to heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or industrial process equipment is valued but not required.
• Proximity to the facility with a requirement to reside within a dependable driving radius of the Greater Milwaukee / Washington County area.
