Job Description

This IT Help Desk Tier 1-2 position at CFS is based onsite in Romeoville, IL, delivering first-line and tier-2 IT support with a salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Prepare equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and required software.
Maintain logs of daily data communications, problems, remedial actions, and installation activities.
Consult with users and run computer diagnostics to identify and resolve issues and provide technical assistance.
Create training materials and procedures, and train users on hardware and software usage.
Escalate major hardware or software problems or defective products to the primary escalation point.
Procure, configure, and deliver IT hardware to users.
Respond to inquiries about software and hardware operations to resolve problems.
Perform basic troubleshooting of LANs, WANs, and Internet systems.
Manage mobile devices.
Install PCs and printers.
Provide first level support to employees.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of experience in infrastructure or help desk support.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Experience with Cloud services including AWS, VMware, Synology, Quest, and Azure.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange administration, and Google Workspace.
Hardware configuration experience across brands such as HP, Dell, Cisco, Meraki, Lenovo, Asus, and Mac.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely and on site.
