Job Description

Miles IT seeks a Part Time Onsite IT Support professional to provide on-site and remote-enabled technology assistance for small and mid-sized businesses. This role is based in Sophia, WV, with variable hours and travel to client sites as needed.

Location

Sophia, West Virginia (onsite)

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site visits to clients within the designated metro area when an on-site presence is required.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues with support from remote personnel.
Deploy and configure new technology solutions with remote assistance.
Assess client support needs to identify appropriate technology solutions.
Maintain strong and consistent communication with customers throughout engagements.
Document tasks performed and related technical information for clients.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in IT support or a similar role.
Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on desktops and servers.
Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, and DNS.
End-user and Help Desk experience with MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications.
Experience troubleshooting network related issues associated with network infrastructure such as switches and routers.
TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting skills.
Certifications such as A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CNE, CCNA are a plus but not required.
Candidate must live within close proximity to the metro area for which you are applying.
