Job Description

Miles IT seeks a Part Time Onsite IT Support professional to provide on-site and remote-enabled technology assistance for small and mid-sized businesses. This role is based in Sophia, WV, with variable hours and travel to client sites as needed.

Sophia, West Virginia (onsite)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site visits to clients within the designated metro area when an on-site presence is required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues with support from remote personnel.
  • Deploy and configure new technology solutions with remote assistance.
  • Assess client support needs to identify appropriate technology solutions.
  • Maintain strong and consistent communication with customers throughout engagements.
  • Document tasks performed and related technical information for clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on desktops and servers.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, and DNS.
  • End-user and Help Desk experience with MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting network related issues associated with network infrastructure such as switches and routers.
  • TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Certifications such as A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CNE, CCNA are a plus but not required.
  • Candidate must live within close proximity to the metro area for which you are applying.
