Job Description

This part-time Technical Support Assistant role is based on-site in Torrance, CA, offering a flexible schedule and a pay rate of $20 to $22 per hour while you support the service team under the guidance of the Support Manager. A musician with deep knowledge of musical instruments and gear is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer and dealer inquiries via phone, email, and assigned help desk tickets
Provide basic warranty support and troubleshooting for instruments and related products
Escalate complex issues to the Support Manager
Process and track incoming returns (RMA intake) and update customers on status
Prepare replacement units and outgoing shipments
Track warranty and defective returns and data
Clean, inspect, test, and repackage B-Stock instruments and accessories
Maintain an organized service workspace
Perform other duties as assigned to support the service department

Requirements

Must be a musician with a technical understanding of musical gear
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow processes and escalate issues appropriately
Ability to lift and move large packages up to 60 lbs as needed
Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, or other data tracking tools
Customer service: 1 year (Required)
