Technical Support Assistant for Music Instrument Manufacturer (Part Time)

This part-time Technical Support Assistant role is based on-site in Torrance, CA, offering a flexible schedule and a pay rate of $20 to $22 per hour while you support the service team under the guidance of the Support Manager. A musician with deep knowledge of musical instruments and gear is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
- Respond to customer and dealer inquiries via phone, email, and assigned help desk tickets
- Provide basic warranty support and troubleshooting for instruments and related products
- Escalate complex issues to the Support Manager
- Process and track incoming returns (RMA intake) and update customers on status
- Prepare replacement units and outgoing shipments
- Track warranty and defective returns and data
- Clean, inspect, test, and repackage B-Stock instruments and accessories
- Maintain an organized service workspace
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the service department
Requirements
- Must be a musician with a technical understanding of musical gear
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow processes and escalate issues appropriately
- Ability to lift and move large packages up to 60 lbs as needed
- Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, or other data tracking tools
- Customer service: 1 year (Required)
