Job Description

The IT Help Desk I role is based onsite in Waianae, Hawaii, on a long-term contract within a healthcare environment. It emphasizes hands-on hardware, software, and network support, with a focus on coordination, documentation, and project-related duties. Compensation is USD 23 to 27 per hour.

Responsibilities

Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, peripheral devices, standard software, and network-connected equipment to support daily operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with computers, printers, and related hardware, including more advanced repairs when necessary.
Identify and fix connectivity problems affecting communication between user devices, servers, printers, and other network components.
Coordinate relocation, setup, and reinstallation of computer equipment during office or departmental moves.
Assist higher-level support team members on escalated tasks and broader IT initiatives.
Track assigned activities, maintain accurate records, and support scheduling needs tied to project and operational work.
Scan documents and help organize technical or project materials to ensure information is easily accessible.
Contribute to additional IT support and project-related duties as business needs require.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least 3 years of experience in information systems, information technology, or a related technical support environment is required.
An associate degree in information technology, computer systems, or a comparable field is preferred.
A+ certification, Network+ certification, or an equivalent credential is required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable daily access to a personal vehicle are required.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and basic network issues in a hands-on support setting.
Experience supporting schedules, timelines, scanning tasks, or project coordination activities is beneficial.
