Job Description

At Speed Express, a data-driven logistics team seeks a Tech Support Analyst to bridge the gap between business users, BI teams, and technical squads in Houston. This onsite role focuses on resolving data and system issues, supporting end users, and driving continuous improvement through analysis, with a must-have background in SQL and Python and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for business users, triaging data and system-related issues, coordinating with business, product, and engineering teams, and driving end-to-end resolution
Apply SQL and Python to log and data investigations, diagnose system or data pipeline problems, and uncover root causes of user-reported issues
Provide routine configuration and account/permission support; assist with on-site support and shift-based coverage as needed
Monitor and validate data accuracy across reports, dashboards, and data feeds; proactively flag anomalies and escalate data quality issues to the appropriate teams
Build and maintain operational dashboards and recurring reports that track support metrics, system health, and issue-resolution trends
Communicate investigation results and data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with BI Developers, Data Engineers, and product teams to investigate and resolve data pipeline, reporting, and user data questions
Participate in UAT and QA activities; conduct post-incident reviews, document lessons learned, and develop standardized support playbooks and knowledge-base documentation
Maintain data definitions, KPI standards, and governance documentation; work with operations teams to identify opportunities to improve data tooling and support processes
Leverage AI-assisted analytics tools to improve investigation efficiency and insight generation; support trend analysis and business performance evaluation where applicable

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of experience in data analysis, technical support, or a hybrid data/operations support role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to independently investigate and resolve data and system issues
Experience providing user-facing support; comfortable with on-call or shift-based support arrangements
