Job Description

Oneida Technical Solutions, LLC offers a full-time Desktop Support Specialist role onsite in Fort Belvoir, VA. This mid-level Windows Active Directory and desktop engineering position supports a DoD and federal services contract and requires a SECRET clearance. You will collaborate to migrate AD from 2003/2008 to 2012, leveraging GPOs, STIGs, Remedy ARS, and VMware in a secure DoD environment. Responsibilities

Collaborate with Server Operations, application and middleware teams to develop, test and implement the migration strategy from 2003/2008 to 2012.
Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including implementing GPOs to support STIG settings on file and print services, DNS, Domain Controllers and application servers.
Build, configure, and manage Microsoft Windows servers in multi-tenant enterprise environments.
Work with virtual infrastructure (VMware).
Migrate large infrastructures from physical to virtual environments.
Deploy and support Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and related STIG.
Develop shell scripts and utility programs for Windows system maintenance.
Automate common functions using VBScript and PowerShell.
Utilize Enterprise Backup software and Riverbed SteelFusion.
Apply SCCM methodologies and manage LAN/WAN and wireless interfaces.
Support web servers, databases, networks, cabling, new installations and migrations, and perform security scanning tools.

Requirements

MCSE or MCSA with experience using Remedy ARS.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with virtual infrastructure (VMware) is required.
Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
IAT II, T3 and Security+ certificates are mandatory to join the program.
Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
HDI Desktop Support Technician (DST) Certification preferred.

Work details

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA onsite
Position type: Full-time
Hours: 8 hour shift; typical days Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; evening and weekend hours as required by business needs.
Travel: Local travel during business day; some out-of-area travel and overnight may be required.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
Security clearance: SECRET clearance required or ability to obtain/maintain.
COVID-19 vaccination: May require full vaccination per Executive Order 14043 pending final decisions.
Relocation: Fort Belvoir, VA relocation before starting work is required.
