Job Description

Tech Wizards LLC seeks a Part-Time IT Support Specialist / Help Desk Technician for weekday mornings to deliver remote and occasional on-site IT support to small and mid-size businesses as part of our MSP team. The role is mainly based from the North Raleigh office with occasional travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Provide help desk and IT support through remote tools and on-site visits
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
Assist with cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, and compliance tasks
Deliver customer service and end-user support of a high standard
Document work and outcomes using ticketing systems and MSP tools

Requirements

Experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support is preferred but not required
Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and Microsoft 365
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
Reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits

A Day in the Life

Begin by reviewing and prioritizing support tickets submitted overnight
Provide remote help desk support for issues related to email, login access, printers, and connectivity
Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and assist with password resets or account setups
Handle PC setups, software installs, and endpoint security alerts
Collaborate with teammates on complex issues or escalations
Occasionally travel to a local client site for hands-on resolution
Document work clearly in the ticketing system to keep clients and team members informed

Education

High school or equivalent is required.

Experience

IT support experience is preferred, with 1 year noted as a reference point.

Ability to Commute

Location: Raleigh, NC 27609 (Required).
