Job Description

Tech Wizards LLC seeks a Part-Time IT Support Specialist / Help Desk Technician for weekday mornings to deliver remote and occasional on-site IT support to small and mid-size businesses as part of our MSP team. The role is mainly based from the North Raleigh office with occasional travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk and IT support through remote tools and on-site visits
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Assist with cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, and compliance tasks
  • Deliver customer service and end-user support of a high standard
  • Document work and outcomes using ticketing systems and MSP tools

Requirements

  • Experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support is preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and Microsoft 365
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
  • Reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits

A Day in the Life

  • Begin by reviewing and prioritizing support tickets submitted overnight
  • Provide remote help desk support for issues related to email, login access, printers, and connectivity
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and assist with password resets or account setups
  • Handle PC setups, software installs, and endpoint security alerts
  • Collaborate with teammates on complex issues or escalations
  • Occasionally travel to a local client site for hands-on resolution
  • Document work clearly in the ticketing system to keep clients and team members informed

Education

High school or equivalent is required.

Experience

IT support experience is preferred, with 1 year noted as a reference point.

Ability to Commute

Location: Raleigh, NC 27609 (Required).
