Job Description
Tech Wizards LLC seeks a Part-Time IT Support Specialist / Help Desk Technician for weekday mornings to deliver remote and occasional on-site IT support to small and mid-size businesses as part of our MSP team. The role is mainly based from the North Raleigh office with occasional travel to client sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide help desk and IT support through remote tools and on-site visits
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
- Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
- Assist with cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, and compliance tasks
- Deliver customer service and end-user support of a high standard
- Document work and outcomes using ticketing systems and MSP tools
Requirements
- Experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and Microsoft 365
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
- Reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits

A Day in the Life
- Begin by reviewing and prioritizing support tickets submitted overnight
- Provide remote help desk support for issues related to email, login access, printers, and connectivity
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and assist with password resets or account setups
- Handle PC setups, software installs, and endpoint security alerts
- Collaborate with teammates on complex issues or escalations
- Occasionally travel to a local client site for hands-on resolution
- Document work clearly in the ticketing system to keep clients and team members informed
Education
High school or equivalent is required.
Experience
IT support experience is preferred, with 1 year noted as a reference point.
Ability to Commute
