Job Description

Part-time Onsite IT Support Consultant role with Miles IT in Abiquiu, NM, providing onsite support and technology implementation for small to medium-sized business customers, with flexible hours and travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Visit customer sites in the Metro Area when onsite presence is required
Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network related problems with the assistance of remote personnel
Implement new technology with the assistance of remote personnel
Identify technology solutions based on analysis of customer support needs
Maintain strong and consistent communication with customers
Document work performed and other technical information for clients

Requirements

Ability to diagnose and fix hardware and software issues for desktops and servers
Experience installing and troubleshooting on WinXP, Windows7, Win2003/2008 Server, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS
End-User and Help Desk experience in MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications
Experience troubleshooting network related issues linked to network infrastructure such as switches and routers
Configuration of TCP/IP settings on networks and troubleshooting TCP/IP issues
Certifications such as A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CNE, CCNA are a plus but not required
Candidate must live within close proximity of the Metro Area (for which you are applying)
