Job Description

This onsite position in Hamilton blends customer-focused retail support with basic technology assistance, delivering guidance in the showroom and Tier 1 IT help for internal staff and external clients. The role emphasizes professional service, product knowledge, and reliable troubleshooting to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Overview

Position type is full-time and in person at the Hamilton location. The role encompasses greeting customers, guiding product selections, and providing entry-level technical support, all aimed at fostering customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers with attentive service across in-person, phone, and remote channels; identify concerns and resolve issues promptly, representing the face of the store.
Deliver sales and product guidance, directing customers to solutions that best fit their needs and offering informed recommendations.
Provide Tier 1 IT Support for internal team members and external business clients, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues with a customer-first approach.
Process sales transactions accurately, including cash and credit card payments, refunds, and exchanges using the POS system.
Maintain thorough knowledge of inventory, pricing, and promotional activities; stay up-to-date on store offerings.
Keep the sales floor, stockroom, and displays clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
Build professional rapport with customers and coworkers to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.

Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills with active listening to understand customer needs.
Positive professional demeanor when handling challenging situations, with patience, empathy, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Ability to quickly assess situations, troubleshoot issues, and provide satisfactory solutions.
Preferred familiarity with diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
Experience with cash handling and inventory management.
Prior retail, customer service, or IT support experience is preferred.
Physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods, with frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Capacity to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
The ability to pass a background check is required.
