Job Description

The Hybrid Help Desk Support Technician serves as the primary point of contact for end-users at Old World Industries, delivering timely technical support across hardware, software, and network services. This role also supports a hybrid workforce by managing user access, service requests, and onboarding support.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for end-users, providing responsive technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware and software problems.
Set up and maintain computers, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Handle service requests by phone and email, using the help desk system to track and monitor issues and requests to support timely resolution.
Maintain Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) by managing user on-/off-boarding, permissions, and security.
Install and support new equipment including docking stations, printers, scanners, and perform upgrades to existing systems through hardware and software changes.
Recommend, plan, and execute upgrades and configuration changes for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office/365, and other applications.
Manage projects related to system upgrades.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and coordinate with vendors until computing and technical issues are resolved.
Document internal procedures and create, maintain, and improve technical documentation.
Maintain the ITIL system of record using Freshservice.
Provide remote assistance and support the onboarding of new users.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in technical support or a help desk role.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
Various IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Certified) are preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, including advanced configuration and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
Experience with Freshservice or similar ITIL service management platforms.
Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
Good communication and support skills for both local and remote users.
Self-motivated and organized approach to completing tickets and projects with minimal supervision.

Job Description

The Desktop Support Systems Analyst at IDEX Service Corp. provides high-touch Level 2 IT support for onsite and remote employees, with a focus on corporate headquarters in Northbrook and Downtown Chicago. This role supports executive technology needs, meeting room systems, and day-to-day endpoint and asset management.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Support both onsite employees and remote users
Manage and resolve incidents using an ITSM system, ensuring timely resolution
Deliver customer service aligned with service expectations
Provide white-glove support to executive leadership and senior stakeholders
Prepare and support meetings, including live troubleshooting when needed
Maintain professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness at all times
Support Microsoft Teams Rooms and conference room technologies
Troubleshoot AV systems, including displays, video conferencing, and audio
Ensure meeting rooms are fully functional and ready for use
Deploy, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
Perform system imaging, software installations, and device provisioning
Support device refresh cycles and lifecycle management
Track and maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment
Manage asset lifecycle from procurement through disposal
Support audits and ensure data accuracy in asset systems

Requirements

Minimum 3 years in enterprise desktop support
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID
Hands-on experience supporting AV and conferencing tools (e.g., Teams Rooms)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Ability to support executive stakeholders with professionalism and urgency

Support employees with Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk and IT infrastructure support in a hybrid role based in Northbrook, IL.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for PCs, laptops, mobile phones, printers, and related technologies
Deliver helpdesk coverage for Barilla America headquarters and remote sites

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, other technical field, or specialized training
2+ years of experience in a Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support role
1+ years experience managing Infrastructure or related projects
Experience supporting Windows PCs (Windows 11), Microsoft 365, and mobile devices
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory
Experience creating user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory or other identity management systems
Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
Strong skills in troubleshooting, communication, and customer service
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Ability to provide remote support via various methods
