Pacific IT Support is hiring a Level 2 Technical Support Engineer to support clients across Maui, HI and Bellingham, WA. This in-person, part-time role combines end-user assistance with hands-on work across Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and server and email troubleshooting. You will help clients through incidents, support ongoing managed services, and contribute to small projects while partnering with senior engineers on larger work.
What youβll do
- End user support for clients, owning tasks and following through to complete resolution
- Perform backend system configuration and troubleshooting across core infrastructure
- Support Microsoft 365 and Azure, including related network, server, and email issues
- Assist with client projects, including managed internal projects
- Contribute to small projects and support T&M service requests
- Maintain backup maintenance and work with standard email client setups such as POP, SMTP, and Exchange (including Outlook)
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and customize MS Office Suite applications based on customer preferences
- Install, configure, and test workstation hardware such as video cards, NICs, sound cards, hard drives, and PDAs
- Support network and server administration, with Windows Server experience preferred, including file, print, and remote access services
- Handle administration tasks such as add/remove users and groups, configure file permissions, check event logs, and configure/restore from backup
- Support enterprise email administration including add/remove users and groups, configure folder permissions when applicable, forward mail, and add aliases
- Document client networks and keep documentation accurate and detailed
- Complete daily time entry accounting for at least 8 hours (minimum of 32 hours billable services recorded per week)
- Provide prompt communication, including understanding the importance of ETA communication, and participate in pre-project/work-briefings
What you bring
- Appropriate Driverβs License
- 4+ years previous experience in IT administration and/or technical support, or equivalent
- 6+ years working in complex IT environments (customer service experience: 6 years required)
- Deep understanding of LAN/WAN technologies required
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- Strong all-round knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, hardware, and software applications
- Demonstrated experience with network and workstation operating systems and Microsoft Windows
- Demonstrated experience with web and internet technologies
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure (Azure knowledge is a plus)
- Client-first mindset, strong communication, and the ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Strong problem-solving, self-learning, initiative, organization, prioritization, and task management skills
- High confidentiality, high punctuality, professional presentation, and ability to take and follow instructions
- Awareness of and ability to work in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures
- Certifications like A+, Net+, Server+ or equivalent, with other computer/network-related certifications a plus
- Optional advantages: MSP experience, and knowledge of Autotask, IT Glue, Datto RMM, Watchguard firewalls, Ubiquiti UniFi switches and APs, and Auvik or Domotz

Compensation and schedule
- Pay: $20.00 to $40.00 per hour (payscale: negotiable on experience)
