Job Description

Right Platforms LLC is hiring an IT Field Technical Support Representative in Salem, OR for onsite, on-the-road support. In this role, you will help clients troubleshoot IT Networking and Telecommunication issues by diagnosing problems, guiding users through fixes, and coordinating repairs when hardware or software needs vendor service. The position offers competitive hourly pay ($25.00–$32.00) and a support-focused work experience backed by paid time off, training opportunities, and comprehensive insurance.

What you’ll do

Identify, investigate, and resolve user issues involving computer software and hardware.
Respond to support requests through calls, chat, and email related to connectivity, printing, and other IT Networking topics.
Consult with users and clients to determine steps and procedures to identify and resolve problems.
Use knowledge of computer hardware/software and IT Networking procedures to complete troubleshooting.
Guide users through diagnostic processes, using tools and equipment and/or verbal instructions.
Collaborate with other staff to research and resolve issues.
Arrange service with software and hardware vendors for repair or replacement of defective products.
Install and configure IT networking equipment and support network backbones.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
Provide reliable, outstanding customer service while assisting clients with IT issues.
Implement secure IT practices and protocols.
Document work performed and steps taken after assisting clients.
Complete other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

Windows OS experience.
Apple iOS experience.
Knowledge of IT security practices.
A+ certification or ability to acquire it within 3 months of hire.
Network+ is preferred.
Security+ is preferred.
2+ years of Telecommunications experience.
2+ years of IT Networking experience.
VOIP and Telephony experience is preferred.
Professional experience in customer technical support is highly preferred (at least three years).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred (3 years minimum experience is required).
