REJIS Commission is seeking an entry-level IT Support I team member to deliver hands-on technical support for REJIS and its clients. This onsite role in St. Louis, MO supports day-to-day technology needs across workstations, servers, network equipment, and telecommunications systems, including helpdesk and troubleshooting responsibilities.
Role Overview
In this position, you will install, configure, maintain, and support computer equipment and infrastructure. You will also troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and telephone issues, while providing Level 2 desktop and server support for REJIS staff, clients, vendors, and site employees.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, move, and support workstations, laptops, printers, monitors, and other computer equipment
- Provide Level 2 desktop and server support for REJIS staff, clients, vendors, and site employees
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and telephone issues
- Assist with server, network equipment, wireless LAN, and infrastructure support
- Maintain accurate equipment inventory records and update equipment locations as needed
- Prepare for equipment installations by conducting site visits, identifying required materials, and testing network equipment
- Track helpdesk requests, document resolutions, and communicate updates to clients and vendors
- Perform preventative maintenance and help identify potential equipment or environmental concerns
- Assist with data and voice wiring installations and other technical projects
- Protect REJIS and client information in accordance with CJIS, MULES, and REJIS requirements
Technology Focus
This role may involve work with certifications and knowledge such as A+, Network+, and Microsoft certifications, including support related to wireless LAN.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Relevant certifications or training (for example, A+, Network+, or Microsoft) are helpful
- Basic to intermediate technical knowledge and a willingness to learn
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, follow written and verbal instructions, and work under general supervision
- Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficient computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other business applications
- Ability to work at client locations and occasionally outside normal business hours
- Valid driver’s license and legally required automobile insurance
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50–75 pounds and safely use ladders and small tools
Compensation and Schedule
This hourly position offers a minimum salary starting at $27.22/hour. Additional compensation may be available based on years of experience, demonstrated skills, certifications, and education. The role is eligible for overtime.
