Job Description

PowerChurch Software is hiring a Software Support Technician to deliver friendly technical support and troubleshoot issues for customers using church management software.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, professional technical support via phone and email
Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, installation, Windows, and basic networking
Help customers use features across the platform, including Membership, Accounting, Contributions, Payroll, Events, and more
Reproduce, document, and test reported software bugs
Collaborate with other departments to improve products
Continue building knowledge of new product features and technical concepts as the software evolves

Requirements

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and modern PC hardware
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude
Ability to quickly learn new software and technology
Ability to work full-time in the Asheville, NC office (onsite)

Preferred Qualifications

Software Support or Customer Support experience
Microsoft Office
macOS
Networking fundamentals
Software installation and troubleshooting experience
Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or finance software experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
