Job Description

PowerChurch Software is hiring a Software Support Technician to deliver friendly technical support and troubleshoot issues for customers using church management software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, professional technical support via phone and email
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, installation, Windows, and basic networking
  • Help customers use features across the platform, including Membership, Accounting, Contributions, Payroll, Events, and more
  • Reproduce, document, and test reported software bugs
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve products
  • Continue building knowledge of new product features and technical concepts as the software evolves

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and modern PC hardware
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and technology
  • Ability to work full-time in the Asheville, NC office (onsite)

  • Full-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • In-office role in Asheville, NC
  • Occasional overtime during peak support periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software Support or Customer Support experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • macOS
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Software installation and troubleshooting experience
  • Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or finance software experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
