Software Support Technician
Job Description
PowerChurch Software is hiring a Software Support Technician to deliver friendly technical support and troubleshoot issues for customers using church management software.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional technical support via phone and email
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, installation, Windows, and basic networking
- Help customers use features across the platform, including Membership, Accounting, Contributions, Payroll, Events, and more
- Reproduce, document, and test reported software bugs
- Collaborate with other departments to improve products
- Continue building knowledge of new product features and technical concepts as the software evolves
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and modern PC hardware
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude
- Ability to quickly learn new software and technology
- Ability to work full-time in the Asheville, NC office (onsite)

- Occasional overtime during peak support periods

Preferred Qualifications
- Software Support or Customer Support experience
- Microsoft Office
- macOS
- Networking fundamentals
- Software installation and troubleshooting experience
- Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or finance software experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
