Job Description

The Part Time Onsite IT Support role provides on-site technical assistance and technology deployment for small and mid-size businesses, offering flexible hours and travel to client sites. This position is based onsite in Prudhoe Bay, AK.

Responsibilities

Visit customers in the specified Metro Area when an onsite presence is needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network issues with support from remote personnel.
Deploy new technology with assistance from remote colleagues.
Assess customer support needs to identify appropriate technology solutions.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers.
Document work performed and related technical details for clients.

Requirements

Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues for desktops and servers.
Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS.
End-user and help desk experience with MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications.
Experience troubleshooting network issues related to switches and routers.
Configuration of TCP/IP settings on networks and resolution of TCP/IP problems.
Certifications such as A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CNE, CCNA are a plus but not required.
Must reside within close proximity to the Metro Area for which you are applying.

Job Description

Hours are not guaranteed, and the role includes a recurring client-site assignment every other week. This position offers a flexible option for occasional supplemental income rather than a guaranteed monthly income.
