Job Description

Responsibilities

Apply technical expertise to troubleshoot PCs, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals in a timely, professional manner. Follows all call protocols and troubleshooting procedures documented in the Help Desk Manual.
Answer call center phones as required and log incoming calls, voice messages, e-mails, and faxes with detail into the incident management system.

Respond to customer requests as needed, whether on hospital grounds or remote clinics.
Build, deploy and install hardware and software.
Maintain a Quality of Service individual score of 90 or above.
Detail assigned tickets with comprehensive actions, next steps, and resolution.
Follow asset and inventory control protocols.
Administer and support user access and permissions for enterprise and third-party applications.
Provide proactive customer communication to keep users informed on issues that did not meet first call resolution, in a timely manner.
Prioritize and manage tasks and responsibilities, take initiative, and work well in a team environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related degree (Preferred).
1 year IT experience and CompTIA A+ Certification (Preferred).
Microsoft Windows Certification for the current supported Operating System (Preferred).
Driver's License – DMV Current Valid Driver’s License and Clean MVR with 3-year baseline and annual MVR review (Required).

Job Description

At Berlin-Wheeler, Inc., the Help Desk I Specialist role sits at the frontline of technology support for employees in Topeka, Kansas, onsite. You’ll be the first to respond to hardware, software, and connectivity issues, while assisting with setup, accounts, and both remote and on-site help. This position offers a clear path into Information Technology within a collaborative, stability-focused organization.

Compensation: USD 16 - 18 per hour

Responsibilities

Deliver first-line technical help via phone, email, chat, and the ticketing system
Diagnose common hardware, software, password, printer, and network connectivity problems
Assist users with Microsoft Office, email configuration, VPN access, and system navigation
Install and configure computers, monitors, peripherals, and user accounts
Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff when required
Record issues, fixes, and support activity clearly in the ticketing system
Provide courteous, professional service with patience and timely responsiveness

Support both on-site and remote employees as needed

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
