This part-time, local in-home field position is designed for candidates who want a combined role in sales and technology support. The work is onsite in Waltham, MA, with daily travel to meet customers at scheduled locations and help them resolve tech issues while working toward sales targets using the Serve, Solve, Sell approach.
Role Overview
Asurion will pre-schedule customer interactions so you can meet customers in-home or at another location as needed. The position blends customer service, troubleshooting, and product recommendations. You will complete paid training and receive coaching to support your success in both customer resolution and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet customers at their homes, in-office, or wherever the scheduled interaction takes place to help meet and surpass sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the full interaction, with the customer’s needs prioritized.
- Use your tech expertise to address and resolve customer technology issues and provide clear solutions regardless of the customer’s technical knowledge.
- Ensure customers leave with a resolution that works and a product designed to support their future technology needs.
- Introduce tailored solutions by leveraging Asurion’s growing range of products.
- Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products to match those needs.
- Apply strong communication and negotiation skills, making smooth pivots as needed to complete the appropriate sale.
- Work during peak hours to support customers through the Serve, Solve, Sell™ approach.
Requirements
- Comfort with a sales environment that includes set targets.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluded: Manhattan).
- Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Appointments are in neighborhoods and cities surrounding your inventory warehouse, with a maximum expected travel distance of 120 miles one-way.
- Ability to work a varied 5-day week schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.

Pay Rate and Compensation
$27.60 hourly plus mileage reimbursement, phone stipend, and sales commission. The base hourly rate is guaranteed for all hours worked and is paid bi-weekly. Earned pay can now be accessed early.
- Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly.
- Mileage reimbursement based on IRS guidelines, paid weekly.
- $35 phone stipend paid monthly.
Schedule
Most positions follow a standard 5-day schedule from 4:05 PM to 9:00 PM (end time may vary based on customer needs). Shifts are scheduled between 12:05 PM and 9:00 PM. You may start as late as 4:00 PM, but you must be available to work until 9:00 PM on your scheduled days.
- In select markets, a flexible 4+ day schedule may be available.
- Under the flexible option, you must provide 25 hours of availability each week across at least 4 days.
- At least 1 day must fall on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday).
- Note: Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand, and flexibility may be required.
