This onsite Technical Support Specialist II role is based in Manchester, NH and focuses on delivering reliable desktop and device support as well as application assistance for core desktop software across the user community.
In this position, you will provide Tier II desktop support, deploying and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, and offering application support for essential desktop applications used across SolutionHealth.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve a variety of complex technical and application issues using a range of tools and applications, in person or remotely.
- Receive and respond to support requests via telephone, email, and in-person through the ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot mildly complex technical problems affecting hardware and software used by the user community.
- Triaged and escalate more intricate issues to Tier III or Tier IV support teams as needed.
- Install new desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices for end users on a daily basis.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and equipment for the organization.
- Hours vary based on Health System needs and can include nights and weekends.
- Occasional local travel and participation in a rotating 7X24 on-call schedule, with potential after-hours work.
Requirements
- An Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Information Systems or related field.
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent credential.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience supporting PCs in a networked environment.
