Requirements

Comfort in a sales environment with set targets.
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least one year of driving experience.
Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan excluded).
Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles).
Customer service appointments located in neighborhoods and cities around your inventory warehouse.
Maximum one-way travel distance of 120 miles.
Flexible five-day week designed to meet customers on their timeline, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Personal cellphone to stay connected on the job.
Comfort working around household pets.
Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.

Job Description

Job Description

Advanced Motion Controls is seeking an onsite IT Technical Support Specialist to support a manufacturing operation from its Camarillo, California facility. This role provides hands-on end-user assistance and stewardship of the IT backbone, covering workstations, servers, networks, and business systems in a live production environment. The position is full-time, onsite, and designed to keep critical infrastructure performing at peak levels while enabling smooth day-to-day operations on the factory floor.

Compensation

Pay range: USD 39 - 49 per hour

Work details

Location: Onsite at the Camarillo, CA facility
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours as required
Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and lift up to 50 lbs; installation or lifting of heavy equipment and ladder use may be required
Security: ITAR Registered; hiring candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, managed switches, firewalls) and infrastructure components (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN); enforce security through firewall policy management, ACLs, and endpoint protection
Monitor network and system performance; diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across endpoints, servers, and infrastructure layers
Administer user accounts, permissions, and authentication across Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments, including RBAC
Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows systems; manage OS imaging, application deployment, patch management, and firmware/security updates
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals via hands-on and remote channels; deliver clear guidance to end users
Assist with server operations and virtual environment administration (Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V), including VM provisioning, resource allocation, and hypervisor maintenance
Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, system configurations, SOPs, and infrastructure diagrams
Additional job duties as assigned
Assist with IT asset management, inventory tracking, licensing, and warranty records
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, hardware refresh cycles, and technology deployments
Coordinate with vendors and external support partners for escalated issues or advanced system maintenance
Promote IT security best practices and assist in security monitoring and compliance activities

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on network and systems administration experience
Education: High school graduate or equivalent
Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
Experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent)
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
Knowledge of network security practices
Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus
