In-Home Sales & Tech Support
Job Description
Part-time in-home sales and tech support role in Camarillo, CA onsite with Asurion. Daily travel to customer residences is required, and you will apply the Serve, Solve, Sell™ approach to help customers with tech needs, backed by paid training and an evening-focused schedule.
Responsibilities
- Travel daily to local customer residences for in-person support; this is an on-site, in-home field role and not remote.
- Represent customers through our Serve, Solve, Sell™ approach to deliver service and solutions.
- Complete paid training to prepare for independent field work.
- Meet customers in their homes or other locations, pre-scheduling interactions to meet sales targets while providing excellent service.
- Apply technical expertise to address and resolve issues, presenting clear, understandable solutions regardless of the customer’s technical background.
- Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that supports future tech needs.
- Leverage Asurion’s product lineup to offer tailored solutions; actively listen to identify needs and position products accordingly.
- Utilize negotiation and communication skills to close appropriate sales.
- Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth and maintain confidence and tech-savviness.
Requirements
- Comfortable in a sales environment with set targets.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluded: Manhattan).
- Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Customer appointments occur in neighborhoods and cities around the inventory warehouse; maximum one-way travel distance is 120 miles.
- Work a varied 5-day week schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal cellphone for on-the-job communication.
- Comfortable working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented and persuasive communication skills.
- Open-minded with a willingness to learn a broad set of skills applicable to various career paths.
- Naturally outgoing and comfortable with frequent human interaction.
- Note: work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand; a standard schedule is provided but flexibility may be required.
Benefits
- Base hourly rate guaranteed for all hours worked, with bi-weekly pay and early access to earned pay.
- Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly.
- Mileage reimbursement based on IRS guidelines, paid weekly.
- Monthly phone stipend of 35 USD.
- Three weeks of paid training to support early career development and success.
Pay Rate
25.85 USD per hour, plus mileage reimbursement, phone stipend, and sales commission.
Part-Time Schedule
- Five evenings per week, from 4:05 PM to 8:00 PM.
About the Role
This entry-level role focuses on in-home sales and tech support during peak hours, ideal for someone starting a career who enjoys interacting with people and gaining hands-on sales experience. It is a local, in-home field role requiring daily travel to customer residences, not remote.
In this position, you will apply the Serve, Solve, Sell™ model, receive paid training to work independently in the field, and develop skills in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving through hands-on product knowledge and field experience. Ongoing coaching will support growth and confidence in tech proficiency.
