IT Help Desk Technician
Job Description
Eddy Foods is seeking an onsite IT Help Desk Technician in Yoakum, TX. This full-time role offers an hourly wage of $20.00 - $22.00 and a benefits package that includes 401(k), health, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off. The technician will install and maintain computer systems, radios, printers, cameras, and wireless devices used at the plant, while providing user support and guidance on software and systems.

Responsibilities
- Set up workstations, phones, printers, and necessary peripheral devices for the office staff
- Install and configure software and functions according to specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Follow up with users to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and a maintenance schedule
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and recommend action
- Maintain inventory levels of toner, ink, and computer accessories
- Other projects as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience as an IT Help Desk Technician or a related role (preferred)
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Certifications as an IT Technician are a plus (for example, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
