Technical Support Specialist

Join 9290 FCX Performance, Inc. in Appleton, WI as an onsite Technical Support Specialist, supporting customer success through technical inside sales and order management.

Responsibilities

• Sell company products and services by processing orders, handling price and delivery inquiries, and sharing technical and application information
• Solicit customer orders and recommend additional products in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Select and specify products using FCX and vendor supplied tools and software
• Respond to customer inquiries
• Process customer orders and send order acknowledgements
• Review purchase orders for special conditions and required documentation
• Check product availability and verify ship dates
• Increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and reviewing customer buying history
• Process and expedite orders, customer returns, and returns to vendors accurately and on time
• Locate products and create purchase orders
• Follow up with vendors to support timely delivery
• Negotiate pricing and delivery with vendors when needed
• Collaborate with Outside Sales to solicit business, execute order transactions, and maintain strong customer service levels
• Communicate effectively within the Branch/Division inside sales team, including sharing workload when possible and picking up incoming phone calls
• Maximize gross margin by ensuring FCX is paid through superior service, problem solving, and technical expertise
• Review open customer order reports and take action on open items, especially those at risk of missing promised delivery dates
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1–3+ years of experience in a Customer Service related industry preferred
• Experience in an Inside Technical Sales, Customer Service, or Application Engineer role with an Industrial Distributor is a plus
