Job Description

IT Helpdesk Technician, based onsite in West Palm Beach, FL, provides support for Windows workstations and servers, incident tracking in Help Desk software, and both on-site and remote Help Desk coverage with standard hours and occasional after-hours support.

Responsibilities

Install, support, and maintain Microsoft Windows workstations, clients, and printers
Administer Microsoft Windows servers to deliver Exchange, file services, print services, and core network services (DHCP, Active Directory, DNS)
Document, report, track, and resolve incidents using Help Desk software
Maintain a central knowledge base to enable Help Desk Technicians to rectify issues with minimal business disruption
Provide Help Desk coverage during normal business hours
Provide remote Help Desk coverage one full Saturday per month in rotation with other IT staff (every 3 weeks)
Coordinate and provide 1st and 2nd level support for addressing new and open issues
Interface with automobile manufacturer IT support to resolve open issues
Adhere to a regular schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with after-hours and weekend work as needed
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the IT Director

Requirements

At least one year of Helpdesk experience is preferred
Excellent customer service, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to quickly adapt to changing project requirements
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and newer server technologies, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Exchange
Expert knowledge of MS Office and Windows client platforms (Windows 7/8/10) on laptops/desktops
Working knowledge of TCP/IP based LAN and WAN technologies and basic familiarity with Cisco networking equipment & configuration
Must be a United States citizen with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Must be willing to travel daily between locations

Job Description

On-site IT Help Desk Technician supporting about 200+ internal users across multiple West Palm Beach branches, addressing hardware, software, network, and application issues in a multi-system environment.

Responsibilities

Act as the initial contact for end users submitting requests via phone, email, and the ticketing system; triage, document, and resolve or escalate as needed
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and VOIP phones, as well as software issues for branch and corporate staff
Create and remove user accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, TempWorks, GP, Avionte, and other line-of-business applications
Troubleshoot front-end issues in the TempWorks staffing platform (login, printing, workflow errors) and route deeper problems to the application owner
Image, configure, and deploy new workstations and laptops for new branches and replacements
Maintain accurate asset inventory across all locations
Support multi-factor authentication, password resets, and basic security policy enforcement
Provide remote support to branch staff via remote desktop tools; travel to local offices as required
Document recurring issues and contribute to the internal knowledge base
Assist with new branch IT setup as the company expands to 32 offices by 2029
Coordinate with vendors including ISPs, copier vendors, phone vendors, and MSPs to resolve service issues
Participate in after-hours escalations on a rotating basis as the team scales

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of help desk, desktop support, or MSP experience
Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 admin (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), and Active Directory
Experience with ticketing systems such as ConnectWise, ServiceNow, Freshservice, or similar
Familiarity with networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic switch/router troubleshooting
Excellent customer service orientation with patience and clear communication for non-technical users
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (workstations, printers, network gear)
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local branches occasionally
High school diploma or equivalent
