Join Greenheck Group in Tulsa, OK to deliver high-level technical application support for commercial HVAC products. In this onsite Application Engineer Sr role, you will assist the product support team with complex application and selection questions, help shape product line roadmap efforts, and build training content for internal and external audiences.
Role overview
You will analyze special designs and unique applications, provide expert guidance to customers and sales teams, and support strategic planning through industry involvement. The position also includes developing application training, documenting service call learnings, and strengthening the company’s market position by evaluating competitive offerings and translating insights into improvements.
Responsibilities
- Support complex technical questions by assisting the product support team with phone and email guidance for both internal and external customers across selection and application.
- Develop and communicate solutions for unique and complex applications, including design considerations and special pricing.
- Travel as needed to resolve field problems requiring diagnostics or subject matter expertise.
- Participate in industry codes and standard committees to influence industry direction.
- Highlight and communicate key selling points of current products to deliver to sales teams and customers.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and work to implement changes where applicable.
- Continuously evaluate competition to strengthen the company’s marketplace advantage in associated markets.
- Develop, organize, and present trainings for internal/external customers and trade associations, onsite and offsite.
- Take a lead role in offsite events, including planning, set-up, and organizing customer interactions.
- Provide input to business unit leadership for the strategic planning process.
- Participate in and lead industry associations.
- Provide mentoring, training, and indirect supervision of other team members, and may have direct reports.
- Leverage relationships with the rep network and sales channel to develop the product roadmap.
- May manage complex team projects, including determining timelines.
- Document service calls to record data related to product questions and field issues.
Requirements
- 6-9 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
- 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience required.
- Bachelor Degree preferred (4 Year / Bachelor Degree).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 105,630 - 130,485 per year.
