Job Description

Entry-level Information Technology Help Desk role based in Janesville, Wisconsin, supporting day-to-day IT operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve end user issues across desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and shop-floor terminals
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of desktops, laptops, industrial PCs, and production-area equipment
  • Support manufacturing and engineering software (CAD, CMMS, ERP, PLC interfaces, quality systems) and document recurring issues
  • Maintain IT asset inventory with tracking, tagging, auditing, and lifecycle documentation
  • Assist with network tasks such as cabling, port labeling, and installing network equipment under supervision
  • Deploy software, operating systems, and updates; image devices for new or replacement users
  • Support cybersecurity practices including MFA enrollment, password resets, endpoint protection, and phishing awareness
  • Contribute to IT process documentation by updating SOPs, troubleshooting guides, diagrams, and knowledge-base articles
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including upgrades, automation projects, testing, and data collection
  • Assist with data reporting and analytics by gathering metrics and preparing reports using Excel
  • Other duties as assigned
