Role overview
The Information Technology Services Helpdesk Administrator serves as the first point of contact for Davidson-Davie’s IT department and is responsible for administering the help desk solution. The role handles inquiries via help desk tickets, phone calls, or emails and ensures tickets are routed to the appropriate service area or technician.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for IT support requests from students, faculty, and staff
- Receive inquiries via help desk tickets, phone, or email
- Administer the help desk system and maintain knowledgebase articles
- Answer incoming calls and respond to emails and tickets
- Route tickets to the appropriate service area or technician
- Create and maintain knowledgebase articles
- Review and improve help ticket processes
- Assist with Learning Management System processes
- Assist with College Information System processes
- Support department and campus initiatives through day-to-day tasks
- Pursue new knowledge through training, system deployments, and personal development
- Maintain sensitivity and respect for a diverse academic community including students, faculty, and staff from varied backgrounds
- Support the College mission, vision, and values and participate in college events and meetings
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support College initiatives
