IT Technician - Help Desk Support

Siouxland Community Health Center is seeking an IT Technician to provide help desk support and maintain day-to-day technology systems onsite in Sioux City, Iowa. The role focuses on troubleshooting, system support, and security monitoring across clinic IT infrastructure.

Role Overview

The IT Technician - Help Desk Support position requires advanced IT and help desk experience, including troubleshooting, maintaining systems and equipment, and monitoring security and networks. The incumbent will also help coordinate technical systems and repairs to support reliable clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, design, and set up computer programs, applications, systems, databases, and forms.
• Maintain, support, and troubleshoot key software systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and secure computer equipment and printers.
• Monitor and maintain the security system and assign security keys.
• Assign applicable resources to staff, such as email, long distance code, and computer log-on access.
• Maintain configuration of clinic-wide operating systems.
• Anticipate and troubleshoot issues and system failures affecting networks and web services.
• Coordinate and monitor information systems technical systems and repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned; listed responsibilities are not all inclusive.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Programming skills and/or previous work experience with Microsoft Access.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, including oral and written communication.
• Presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in computer troubleshooting and problem-solving required.
• Previous experience with a variety of computer applications required.
• Knowledge and experience with Windows server, Windows XP/7/10 Professional, and Exchange Server.
