Responsibilities

Provide on-site PC and laptop break/fix support, including hardware installation, software setup, configuration, and issue resolution
Assist end users through in-person, phone, email, and remote channels; respond to and close help desk tickets promptly
Oversee the full ticket lifecycle in the service management system, including creation, updates, resolution, and SLA-driven escalation
Troubleshoot technical issues in a structured, methodical manner to identify root causes and implement solutions
Collaborate with internal teams and vendor support to resolve hardware and software issues
Ensure desktop systems integrate effectively with enterprise infrastructure, including file servers, email, conferencing tools, and business applications
Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes accurately; contribute to knowledge base articles
Prioritize and manage multiple tickets simultaneously based on urgency and business impact

Requirements

Hands-on experience supporting desktop environments, including hardware, operating systems, and standard applications
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and basic networking issues
Experience working in a ticketing/service management platform (e.g., ServiceNow or similar)
Experience supporting a Microsoft environment, including Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Active Directory
Familiarity with basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Perl, or Shell) is a plus
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and perform effectively in a fast-paced support environment

Responsibilities

Onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex workstation problems for end users
Recommend and implement corrective solutions, including offsite repair for remote users as needed
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software to meet desktop service levels
Assess and implement performance upgrades to computers, including CPUs, I/O, NICs, hard drives, RAM, and related components
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure an efficient desktop computing environment
Administer and resolve issues with end-user workstation networking software products as required
Receive and respond to calls, tickets, and emails regarding desktop problems
Handle move, add, and change requests as they are submitted
Ensure physical desktop connections (Ethernet, telephone, PC-to-server connectors, etc.) are functioning properly
Prepare tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance and provide performance statistics and reports
Assist in maintaining procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring desktop operations
Maintain an inventory of monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards, and other components and equipment
Document instances of desktop equipment failures, repairs, installations, and removals
Liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors as necessary
Participate in staff meetings and other requested meetings and seminars
Other duties as assigned
