Job Description

Southwest CARE Center offers a contract, onsite Technical Support Analyst role focused on hands-on end-user PC hardware and software support across Santa Fe and Albuquerque. This position emphasizes practical, on-site work within a healthcare setting, featuring a competitive hourly rate, paid time off for holidays, and overtime eligibility. You will travel between clinics and collaborate with the IT team to maintain smooth desktop operations.

Responsibilities

  • Onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex workstation problems for end users
  • Recommend and implement corrective solutions, including offsite repair for remote users as needed
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software to meet desktop service levels
  • Assess and implement performance upgrades to computers, including CPUs, I/O, NICs, hard drives, RAM, and related components
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure an efficient desktop computing environment
  • Administer and resolve issues with end-user workstation networking software products as required
  • Receive and respond to calls, tickets, and emails regarding desktop problems
  • Handle move, add, and change requests as they are submitted
  • Ensure physical desktop connections (Ethernet, telephone, PC-to-server connectors, etc.) are functioning properly
  • Prepare tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance and provide performance statistics and reports
  • Assist in maintaining procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring desktop operations
  • Maintain an inventory of monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards, and other components and equipment
  • Document instances of desktop equipment failures, repairs, installations, and removals
  • Liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors as necessary
  • Participate in staff meetings and other requested meetings and seminars
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience

Candidate Highlights

  • Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on hardware troubleshooting, with working knowledge of electronic medical record systems; healthcare environment experience is highly desired
  • Education: Degree in Information Systems or related field required, or equivalent work experience
  • License/Certification: Valid driver's license; A+, MCSE, MCSA and/or MCS Azure highly desired
  • Transportation: Reliable personal transportation required to travel between clinics and offices
  • Smartphone: Personal smartphone with an adequate data plan required
