Job Description
Provide first-level technical help and troubleshoot customer issues across calls, emails, and chats in a hybrid role in Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, professional technical support to customers via calls, emails, and chats
- Diagnose and troubleshoot customer issues
- Build skills by learning industry-standard tools

Requirements

- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Experience: at least 1 year of customer service experience and/or a troubleshooting environment
- Familiarity with common consumer tech such as Wi-Fi routers, DSL modems, and desktop computers
- Solid understanding of computer hardware and basic networking concepts; comfortable with home tech including routers, remotes, and set-top boxes
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Windows and Mac OS
- Confidence using troubleshooting tools and issue tracking systems to resolve problems
- People-focused communication: listens, connects, and helps customers feel at ease; can explain technical topics clearly for all audiences
- Proactive learning mindset and interest in current tech trends
- Ability to solve problems and keep services running smoothly
- Positive, upbeat attitude and readiness to help

Bonus Points If You Have
- AAS degree in computer, IT, networking, or related field
- Experience in a technical phone support role
- Knowledge of data communication protocols and high-speed connections; modem configuration; web browsers; and Internet services such as HTTP, FTP, DNS, POP, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of email software and Windows/Mac systems
- Intermediate understanding of Internet, phone, and cable services
Schedule
- Shift: 12:30-9:00 pm
- Includes every other weekend
Location
- Minnesota (hybrid)
- Remote option: position can be located in a variety of work locations and may be work from home for Minnesota residents
Compensation
- USD 20-22 per hour
