Help Desk Technician - TS/SCI
Job Description
The Help Desk Technician role supports a government client in Northern Virginia, delivering technical support and troubleshooting for network, desktop, and software environments. This onsite position is based in Chantilly, VA and requires TS/SCI clearance with DoD information assurance certifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for network, desktop, and systems hardware and software.
- Screen, route, and diagnose internal inquiries and work requests related to personal computers and related systems.
- Assist with installation, configuration, and upgrades of computer hardware and software.
- Deliver end user software troubleshooting and support.
- Apply basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and propose solutions.
- Provide ongoing troubleshooting and support for designated environments.
- Assist in the administration of email systems.
- Offer phone and help desk support for local and off-site users.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Requirements
- Education: AA/AS required.
- Experience: 3+ years of directly related experience supporting help desk operations or customer service.
- Minimum experience: 1+ years of related experience.
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- DoD IA Certification: Must possess current DoD IA Certification to be considered, from among the following: CompTIA A+ CE, CompTIA Network+ CE, CompTIA Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security.
- Certification preference: CompTIA Security+ CE is preferred.
- DoD 8570 CE Training: Must attain within six months of hire date.
- Travel: Less than 10% travel.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required.

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.44 and $35.78. This figure is not a guaranteed salary and will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements, and could fall outside of this range. View information about benefits and our total rewards program.
