IT Service Desk Specialist

Based in Buffalo, NY, Hodgson Russ LLP is seeking an IT Service Desk Specialist to join onsite IT operations. This role focuses on responsive support for software, hardware, AV systems, video conferencing, and mobile devices, with an emphasis on documenting activities and staying current on IT technologies. You will assist meetings and events as needed, ensuring minimal disruptions and smooth collaboration. Responsibilities

• Provide responsive, high quality IT support by resolving user inquiries and technical issues related to software, systems, hardware, audio-visual equipment, and mobile devices, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal productivity.
• Deliver effective and innovative solutions, maintain current knowledge of IT technologies and policies, and document all support activities in accordance with procedures.
• Offer expert-level support for audio-visual systems, video conferencing, and mobile device management, including setup, configuration, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
• Support equipment for meetings, presentations, and off-site events, collaborating with team members to share knowledge and continuously improve service delivery.

Requirements

• Competence in the full range of computer software including MS Office suite and law firm specific software applications such as iManage, Litera, and Mimecast.
• Strong generalist technical skillset with the ability to provide top quality client support across the full spectrum of systems and applications.
• Associate’s degree in computer science, IT, business administration, or a related field.
• Two years of full-time work-related experience in a multi-office, networked environment with multiple software packages and hardware devices.
• Two years of experience with multiple software packages and hardware devices is preferred.
