Maintenance Tech Support - 2nd Shift

Raytheon is seeking Maintenance Tech Support for the 2nd shift at its onsite McKinney, TX location. This position supports repair and maintenance for Raytheon APEX Building Manufacturing Factories, with a focus on maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting SMT and semiconductor assembly equipment to keep production operations running.

Role Overview

This onsite role provides technical support for equipment used in semiconductor/SMT assembly and supporting factory operations. The role includes executing preventative maintenance and calibration, performing equipment troubleshooting, and coordinating with production personnel and engineering teams within the Assembly Process Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and calibrate SMT and semiconductor assembly equipment and supporting operations, including leak check systems, refrigeration, automated die placers, stencil printers, adhesive dispensers, wire bonders, plasma cleaners, wet cleaners, ovens, and material handling systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration procedures for assigned equipment.
• Provide manpower for equipment moves and setups, with the physical ability to perform normal working tasks while following prescribed EHS safety guidelines.
• Partner with factory production personnel and other engineering teams within the Assembly Process Engineering Department.
• Apply knowledge of electro-mechanical systems in automated equipment, including reading and understanding equipment manuals and schematics, and troubleshooting equipment problems.
• Work independently with limited supervisory guidance, as well as within the team structure to support operations across the designated shift.

Required Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience using electrical schematics to trace voltages through systems to board level.
• Experience performing corrective and preventive maintenance on semiconductor/SMT equipment, including one or more of the following: Wire Bonders, Seam Sealer/Track Welders, Pick and Place Machines, Metal Deposition Systems, Acid and Coating Hoods, Multizone Ovens, Screen printers, and/or Epoxy Dispensers.
• U.S. citizenship is required, since only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program or contract.

Preferred Qualifications

• AA degree in Electronics.
• Familiarity with an ESD Control Program and the ability to work in Class 100 to 100K clean room environments.
• EHS certifications for Electrostatic Discharge, Electrical Safety, Ionizing Radiation Exposure, and any additional safety training.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work with computer systems, including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 53,100 to 100,900 per year.
